As hotel guests, we got in an hour early and rode GateKeeper and Millennium Force in short order. Then we headed to the back of the park for Maverick and Steel Vengeance. Unfortunately, we broke the cardinal rule not to get in line for a ride that isn’t running. We waited for about an hour while Maverick went through diagnostics before we were finally let in. We probably could have ridden SteVe twice in that time, so I was cranky. We had a small lunch and got in the then-hour-long line for SteVe.
Later, we tried to ride Magnum, but it was raining (despite it not being forecast), so we went to the arcade and spent about $60! We amassed about 650 tickets and decided we’d try to get back there later to win an 800-ticket burrito stuffy. Then we headed back to Magnum and walked right into the station as it had just reopened. We rode in the first row.
At this point, we found most of the coasters to be down due to rain, including SteVe, Maverick, and Mille. But Valravn was running with only a 15-minute wait! Again we rode in the front row.
Finally, we rode GateKeeper and then spent $15 not winning midway games. Then we rode Mille and went back to the hotel.
